The Municipal Library

Located in the basement of the Town Hall, the library offers a large variety of books and magazines. Various services are available:  reference book section with work tables, computers with high-speed Internet access. Various activities are also available: Duplicate Scrabble, story hour, exhibits, meetings with authors, information evenings, etc. To learn more about these activities, we invite you to consult the Informateur municipal bulletin and the Biblio flash (in French only).

Library schedule

Tuesday and Thursday from 13:30 to 16:30 and from 19:00 to 21:00, in addition to Saturday from 13:30 to 15:30.
The library is closed on Saturdays preceding the following legal holidays: Easter, Patriot’s Day, Labour Day, and Thanksgiving. The library is also closed from December 24th to January 3rd inclusively.

Loan services

Upon presentation of a library card (obligatory), a member may borrow up to a maximum of 6 documents. Duration of loans: 3 weeks.

  • Late fees: a fine of 0,20 $ per document per working day, up to a maximum of 4 $ per document

Book exchanges

In addition to acquiring a large number of new documents, the library exchanges approximately 1 500 documents that are part of the Réseau BIBLIO GIM (central lending library) collection twice a year, in the spring and fall, ensuring a regular renewal of documents available for loan.

Literary events

Each year the library participates in or organizes activities that are part of the following literary events: the Book Fest in April, the TD Summer Reading Club, Culture Days in September and Public Library Week in October.
